Enthaice Thai Kitchen opened in the summer of 2013, and brings the flavors, spices, and ambiance of Northern Thailand to the center of Astoria, Queens. For more than a decade, owners (and sisters) Juntima (Ann) and Photchanee (Are) have been managing a number of New York restaurants. Chef Ratthakate and drink list developer Sirichai (Fluke) have joined up to create a unique space where guests can enjoy authentic Thai cuisine and beverages.
The team's vision is simple: to prepare Thai cuisine in its highest form, present it in an exciting fashion, and serve it with the elegance of fine dining while maintaining a casual, inclusive atmosphere.
Diners accustomed to standard versions of common Thai favorites will be surprised by the underlying complexity that Enthaice Thai Kitchen brings to dishes. For those willing to explore, there is an entire legacy of Chiang Mai cooking (with a bit of Phayao thrown in). The unusualness of the regional ingredients will surprise and delight, while local and seasonal recipe additions will further augment the dishes for even more exciting flavors. For diners already familiar with the aforementioned regions, the dishes will be as comfortable as the dining space, which is constructed with a traditional Thai kitchen in mind.
Additionally, Enthaice Thai Kitchen encourages you to stop by for Gap Glaem - a Thai tradition that pairs special appetizers with a whiskey-heavy cocktail list. It can happen any time, with anyone, and the team has compiled a list of food options that have been painstakingly paired with the extensive drink options.
In the northern region of Thailand, people are warmhearted and easygoing. Drink, eat, and talk casual style dining. Take your time. Lunch, dinner, or Gap Glaem - by yourself or celebrating with friends - Enthaice Thai Kitchen offers an experience you can’t get anywhere else in New York or beyond.
